Big Hearts on a Big Bike
Each year tens of thousands of Canadians ride the Heart & Stroke Big Bike in their community. Their reasons for participating vary, but they all have the same goal; to support heart disease and stroke research. Earlier this month eight ParkLane and Bluetree employees with Big Hearts helped fill the seats in the Big Bike that rode around the streets of downtown Vancouver. With a beautiful sunny day on their side, tunes from the 80's playing loud, and everyone all dressed up in fun props and accessories this team of 29 (including the SAP team) brought awareness to everyone that crossed their path. This year one of our own, Tara Coil, Office Manager and HR Administrator had the privilege of being the 2012 Big Bike Team Captain. When asked what her favourite part about her role was, she said:
"I was excited and proud to represent Bluetree and ParkLane Homes in the Big Bike event. The best part was seeing the end result which is the money we raised for such an amazing cause and seeing our team smiling and having such a fun time.”
