Grand Opening at The Heritage Woods Daycare

Mayor Trasolini, Councillor Dilworth, Councillor Elliott and the owners, staff and children of Kinder Kampus Daycare Prepare to Cut the Ribbon at the Grand Opening Ceremony

Residents of Heritage Woods gathered together on Wednesday, September 21st to welcome the completion of the final piece of the Heritage Mountain community core with the opening of a new, modern daycare and 5 live-work townhomes called The Views. Adjacent to Aspenwood Elementary School and the Heritage Mountain Community Centre, this additional space has already been embraced by the community.  The Grand Opening ceremony welcomed Mayor Trasolini, Councillor Dilworth, Councillor Elliott and Councillor Clay and acknowledged their contribution to making the community's vision a reality.

The daycare represents a novel partnership in both its approach and win-win conclusion for the community.  ParkLane Homes saw the opportunity to purpose-build a daycare within the commercial project of The Views. Through the public approvals process for this development, the community made their needs known, and Port Moody council supported the addition of daycare into the commercial building, which is becoming more common as the private daycare trend expands.

ParkLane also worked closely with Kinder Kampus, a local provider of quality childcare services. This is now their second facility on Heritage Mountain:

"The team from Parklane Homes was very co-operative and enthusiastic in working with us to accommodate a childcare facility in this mixed-use development.  Our experience with Parklane was so positive, that we hope to continue to work with them for daycare facility projects in the future." - Andrew Barr and Sophia Barr, the owners of Kinder Kampus
