ParkLane helps Langley host the Olympic Torch
On Monday February 8th, 2010, a contingent of ParkLane employees were in the Valley celebrating the arrival of the Olympic Torch. Hundreds of people, including school children walking in pairs who were delighted to be out of the classroom, showed up to cheer on the Torch Runner. Wearing the famous red mittens, we handed out balloons, flags and red maple leaf tattoos to one and all.
After Walnut Grove, we headed to Fort Langley where thousands of people had already beat us to the streets! Armed with helium tanks, we helped paint the town red as we handed out hundreds of flags and balloons! It was an amazing display of community spirit to witness.
