ParkLane Homes Supplies new Port Moody Recreation Complex with Fitness Centre
"Vancouver, B.C. (April 15, 2008) ParkLane Homes Ltd. has been recognized for its donation of $25,000 towards the construction of a recreation complex in Port Moody. The company's contribution of a new fitness centre was featured when the newly completed facility at 300 Ioco Road celebrated its grand opening on Saturday, April 12, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by facility tours, activities and family entertainment.
The original recreational campus, built in 1973, has been undergoing construction work for the past three years to renovate and expand the building into one multi-use modern facility. Port Moody residents will now be able to enjoy two arenas (one featuring international-sized ice), two gymnasiums, a curling centre, running track, sauna and steam amenities, fitness centre, dance studio, spinning studio, child play centre and physiotherapy clinic.
"We're absolutely delighted to contribute towards the new recreation complex," says ParkLane's Randy Dick. "We believe in giving back to the communities where we are active, and we're happy to support Port Moody and be an important part of their efforts to make this city a terrific place to live and play." Randy was also a member of the 2003 task force that provided input on the programming and funding of the new recreation complex.
The ParkLane Fitness Centre is a bright new 5,400 square foot space with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides. It is equipped with state-of-the-art machines including treadmills with individual ipod-compatible television screens.
ParkLane Homes has been recognized with over 250 provincial and national awards for its outstanding design, construction and service excellence. The company has built more than 5,500 homes since 1980 and has grown to become one of the largest and most recognized residential developers in BC with a commitment to building excellence in every detail. Its flagship Heritage Woods community is one of the premier neighbourhoods in Port Moody and was named the Best Residential Development in BC.
