ParkLane Supports Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation
Vancouver, BC, May 17, 2007 - ParkLane Homes is proud to announce its pledge of $10,000 to the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation. The donation will be used to purchase critical medical equipment which is essential to provide the best level of healthcare to patients.
Eagle Ridge is the community hospital for the 200,000 residents of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore, and Belcarra. Each year 100,000 patients visit the hospital, and of those, 33,000 patients are in need of emergency care. The hospital's surgeons perform over 11,500 procedures in their 6 operating theatres including total hip and knee replacements, pacemaker insertions, cancer diagnosis and treatment to name a few. The Eagle Ridge Foundation purchases almost 70% of all critical medical equipment for the hospital each year, equipment for which there is no other source of funding.
"The relationship between ParkLane Homes and Eagle Ridge Hospital is long-standing," says Peter Irving, Chair of the Board of Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation. "In response to a leadership gift from ParkLane Homes in the early days of the hospital, the hospital's large meeting room was named the ParkLane Room to mark their support. Eagle Ridge is proud of the fact that our relationship with ParkLane Homes continues to this day."
Curt Woodhall, Marketing Manager of ParkLane Homes said, "It's exciting to support some of the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundations initiatives to help meet the ever changing needs of the community. We are committed to supporting and giving back to the communities that we are helping to create. We are proud to have supported Eagle Ridge Hospital for the past 14 years and look forward to seeing the facility continue to provide the best health care for the Tri-City area in the future."
