20 Luxury Homes Sold in Port Moody's Heritage Woods in Less than Six Hours

Port Moody, BC; April 3, 2006 - Twenty luxury homes, ranging from $450,000 to $875,000 sold in less than six hours at ParkLane's Spectacular Spring Showcase event held in Port Moody's Heritage Woods on Saturday, April 1st.

Hundreds of eager homebuyers arrived at this award winning residential development to tour eight professionally decorated show homes in four neighbourhoods, many of them opening for the first time to the general public. There were line ups and campouts to buy the available homes and of the 20 that sold, the average price was over $700,000.

"ParkLane has successfully re-introduced the idea of an open house event," says Gary Marshall, ParkLane's general manager of sales and marketing. "People have the opportunity to tour through homes that they can buy today. The response was overwhelming and you can really see the demand to live in this community."

ParkLane Homes' Heritage Woods community has won over 30 awards of excellence including being named the Best Residential Development in B.C. by the Canadian Homebuilders' Association. The homes in Heritage Woods range from three-bedroom townhouses to 3 & 4 bedroom luxury single-family homes, to a 5,600 sq. ft. mansion with a panoramic view overlooking the city.

"This is one of the fatest selling masterplanned communities in the Tri-city area mostly because of the quiet natural setting, great views and proximity to all of Port Moody's first class amenities. We are extremely pleased with the success of the launch of this event," adds Marshall.

Over the past 25 years, ParkLane has grown to become one of western Canada's largest and most recognized residential developers building more than 5,000 homes in over 85 award winning communities across the Lower Mainland.

The showcase continues this weekend and there are still homes available.
