Great Response to ParkLane's Annual Christmas Light Display Contest
Vancouver, BC; January 1, 2006 - ParkLane Homes held their annual Light Up the Neighbourhood Christmas Light Display Contest in their award-winning Heritage Woods community in Port Moody. The 4th annual event turned out to be a major success with a variety of neighbourhoods competing for prizes.
The contest ran through December and was open to all area residents. Residents were encouraged to decorate the exterior of their homes with lights and decorations in celebration of the holiday season. Winners were chosen by ParkLane's astute panel of judges, who toured each neighbourhood. Homes were judged based on their creative light displays and to residents who went above and beyond to get their homes decorated in the spirit of Christmas. The judges were amazed at the number of area residents that took part in this year's event. One judge was quoted as saying "...it seemed like some residents really had fun decorating their homes for the contest. One lady was still adding more decorations to her home as we drove up."
Contest winners were separated into two categories: 1st and 2nd place in the Detached Home Category and 1st and 2nd place in the Attached Home Category. We are happy to announce that this year's prizes for the Light up the Neighbourhood Contest went to:
Detached Home Cateogory:
1st Place: 83 Cliffwood Drive (Stoneridge)
2nd Place: 22 Cliffwood Drive (Stoneridge)
Attached Home Category:
1st Place: 63 Fernway Drive (Echo Ridge)
2nd Place: 123-2000 Panorama Dr (Mountain's Edge)
First place winners were given a holiday gift basket and a $100 gift certificate to IKEA. Second place winners also received a holiday gift basket and a gourmet lunch at The Keg restaurant.
ParkLane Homes wishes to thank everyone who participated in this year's contest and for making this holiday season truly sparkle.
