    Position:  Accounts Payable

     

    Key Responsibilities: 
    • Sorting, batching and data entry of all invoices.
    • Preparation of monthly cheque runs for all companies.
    • Preparation of manual cheques as required.
    • Recording of bank entries daily.
    • Daily bank deposits.
    • Entry of sales journals, cash receipts and journal entries.
    • Lease payments for office premises and service vehicles.
    • Maintenance of new and existing vendor information.
    • Preparation of monthly retention cheques.
    • Maintenance of WCB for all trades including Statutory Declarations, delinquency check and updated liability insurance as required.
    • Maintenance of new and cancelled sales in Newstar.
    • Arranging for bank drafts as required.
    • Ordering of cheque stock for new and existing bank accounts.
    • Maintenance of invoice approval forms.
    • Reconciliation of vendor statements.
    • Filing of all accounts payable information.
    • Miscellaneous projects as assigned by the Director of Finance and Manager, Financial Analysis.
     
    Qualifications: 
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
    • Clear and effective communication skills
    • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel
    • Able to work well in a team environment
    • Previous Account Payable experience an asset
     

    The position will report to the Manager, Financial Analysis.
